Monthly update on the court review of the procurement of global equity funds - April 2026

The Administrative Court in Stockholm is continuing to review Indecap’s application concerning the Swedish Fund Selection Agency’s procurement of actively managed global equity funds (case number 4909-26). Below is an account of how the process has developed during April.

In April, Indecap, having requested and been granted an extension of time from 8 April to 17 April 2026, submitted a statement to the Administrative Court. In this statement, the company further develops its legal arguments and invokes additional grounds in support of its claims.

The Swedish Fund Selection Agency has been granted an extension until 20 May 2026 to respond to these new grounds. Once the Agency’s response has been submitted, it will be for the Administrative Court to decide on the next steps in the handling of the case.

The procurement of actively managed global equity funds is the Swedish Fund Selection Agency’s largest procurement to date, with an estimated value of approximately SEK 200 billion. The review concerns the procurement that has been carried out, and the Administrative Court is examining whether the Agency has acted in accordance with the procurement rules applicable to the premium pension fund platform. A timetable for when a judgment may be delivered has not yet been established.
