Swedish and European small-cap funds next in line to be procured

Today, the Swedish Fund Selection Agency, FTN announces the next fund categories to be procured for the premium pension fund platform. The categories are actively managed Swedish and European small-cap funds.

There are five actively managed European small-cap funds on the fund platform, with assets under management of approximately SEK 6.5 billion. The actively managed Swedish small-cap funds category currently consists of 14 funds, with assets under management of approximately SEK 44 billion.

FTN has yet to decide when during 2025 the procurement announcement will be made and the specific requirements for the procurements. Further details on timing will be communicated when The Swedish Fund Selection Agency deems it appropriate.

Additionally, the following fund categories are planned for procurement in 2025, in no particular order:

  • IT & Communications, actively managed, totalling approximately SEK 145 billion*
  • US & North America, large and mid-cap companies, actively managed, approximately SEK 13.2bn*
  • US & North America, large and mid-cap companies, passively managed, approximately SEK 31.4bn*.

The Agency will conduct an independent confidentiality assessment, which may be subject to judicial review.

*Assets under management represent the current volume allocated to the category. There is no guarantee that the procured volume will correspond to the current volume.
