Update to the procurement plan for 2024

The Swedish Fund Selection Agency, FTN, today, 14 June, informs that a procurement of actively managed global equity funds focusing on large and mid-cap companies will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2024. Notice will be given after the procurement of Swedish equity funds and Swedish index funds and replace the global fixed income funds category in the procurement plan 2024.

In the procurement plan for the premium pension fund platform, The Swedish Fund Selection Agency prioritises fund categories with large savings volumes. This is to ensure a rapid flow of capital to the procured fund platform.

In line with this, The Swedish Fund Selection Agency has decided to announce a procurement of actively managed global equity funds in 2024. The procurement covers capital of approximately SEK 193 billion*.

Today, actively managed global equity funds are mainly found in two different categories on the fund platform: Global and Global & Sweden. The procurement, which is planned to be announced at the end of the year, covers all global equity funds on the fund platform, including those with a geographical overweight to a particular market. Today, there are a total of approximately 45 actively managed global equity funds on the fund platform. The procurement affects around 1 million savers.

As previously announced, FTN plans to announce the procurement of Swedish equity funds and Swedish index funds with a focus on large and mid-cap companies after the summer (end of August/September). The procurement covers approximately SEK 88 billion in pension capital* and affects just over 1 million savers. The preliminary procurement specifications have been published on FTN.se. More detailed information on the preliminary procurement specifications can be found here External link..

Overall, this procurement plan means that by the end of 2024, The Swedish Fund Selection Agency will have announced procurements for approximately SEK 400 billion, affecting approximately 3 million savers in the Premium pension fund platform.

The Swedish Fund Selection Agency's procurement plan means that parallel procurements will be active during 2024. The Swedish Fund Selection Agency's revision of the procurement plan means that the procurement of global fixed-income funds will not take place in 2024.

This change was communicated at a digital briefing on 14 June. The broadcast can be viewed afterward at Information meetings - The Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN.se) External link.

The Swedish Fund Selection Agency welcomes comments and questions on the procurement plan, which can be sent to procurement@ftn.se. We will not be able to answer all questions, but we will review and consider all comments received.
