Portfolio data requested by the Swedish Fund Selection Agency
When you upload files through this service, the primary purpose is to provide portfolio data requested by the Swedish Fund Selection Agency (FTN) in accordance with the Fund Agreement.
Reporting is carried out on a quarterly basis, and the data may be up to 30 days old at the time of submission.
Data to be submitted
For each quarterly reporting occasion, the Fund Manager is normally expected to upload the following data components in line with the structure set out in the reporting template (a file template is provided on this page HERE):
- NAV and return data (“Fund NAV”)
A monthly time series for the fund: date, the fund’s return (based on official NAV and market prices) and the benchmark’s returns , the fund’s assets under management (AUM), and any comments. This data is used to monitor the fund’s performance and cost‑effectiveness over time. - Month‑end holdings (“Month‑End Holdings”)
Monthly positions in the fund: holding date, ISIN and instrument description, price and currency, quantity, market value and weight in the portfolio, asset type, country and sector codes, and, where relevant, underlying equity ISIN. This data is used to analyse the fund’s holdings, risks, sustainability profile and transparency. - Transactions (“Trades”)
Executed trades during the period: trade date, ISIN, buy/sell indicator, quantity, price and value in the instrument currency, instrument currency, asset type, country code and, where relevant, transaction subtype. This data is used to assess how the portfolio is managed in practice, including trading patterns and order execution. - Fund and benchmark information (only when using the excel template, no corresponding csv template)
Basic identification information such as the fund name, the fund’s ISIN, benchmark name, reporting currency and the last reported date.
The data can be submitted using the Excel template, or if preferred in comma-separated files, one each for NAV, Holdings and Transactions according to the templates found. Templates can be found on the template page. Please note that data headers in the .csv files must be as in the templates and the file names must be of the prescribed form. Instructions on how to compile data can be found in the Excel template and the instruction file for the csv templates.
All files uploaded through the file upload service are promptly transferred to the Swedish Fund Selection Agency’s secure internal servers, are not stored permanently in the service itself, and are used solely for the analyses and controls arising from the Fund Agreement.
