File upload and reporting for fund Managers
The Swedish Fund Selection Agency’s file upload service is used by fund managers to submit data and documents required under the Fund Agreement and related procurement documents. This includes, in particular, the recurring quarterly portfolio data (NAV, holdings and transactions) as well as any additional files requested by FTN.
The service is intended for authorised representatives of fund managers whose funds have been procured to the premium pension fund platform.

Ways to submit files
- Manual upload via the web service
Use the web interface to upload files directly from your computer. This option is suitable if you submit data a few times per year and prefer a browser‑based workflow.
On the page Manual file upload you will find step‑by‑step instructions, supported file types and information on common errors. - Automated upload via API (SV‑FTN‑API)
If you wish to integrate the reporting into your internal systems, you can use the REST API application SV‑FTN‑API to automate file uploads.
The page Using SV‑FTN‑API for automated file uploads describes the uploadFiles endpoint, authentication, supported upload methods and example requests.
We highly recommend all fund managers to automate the data compilation and upload using the API to reduce the work involved in the reporting.
What data you are expected to submit
Under the Fund Agreement, fund managers are required to provide regular portfolio data so that the Swedish Fund Selection Agency can monitor, evaluate and follow up on compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
In brief, you will be asked to submit, on a quarterly basis:
- NAV and return data for the fund,
- month‑end holdings, and
- transaction data,
using the standard template (Historical NAV, Holdings and Transactions).
The page Portfolio data requested by the Swedish Fund Selection Agency explains in more detail which data fields are requested, how the template is structured and which provisions of the Fund Agreement form the basis for this reporting.
Contractual basis
The obligation to provide this data forms part of the Fund Manager’s undertakings under the Fund Agreement and applies throughout the contract term. In particular, the Fund Manager:
- shall ensure transparency in all fund holdings and provide information on the fund’s holdings and transactions on a quarterly basis or upon request, allowing for a delay of up to 30 days (Section 3.7.3),
- shall, upon request, provide such information as is necessary for the Swedish Fund Selection Agency to assess, monitor and review compliance with the Fund Agreement (including Sections 3.5, 3.8 and 3.18),
- shall ensure that all information submitted is correct, up to date and not misleading (Section 3.20).
Accordingly, the Fund Manager is required to submit complete and accurate NAV, holdings and transaction data for each quarterly reporting occasion.
