Board members
On Thursday 2 June the Government appointed the seven members who will govern the Swedish Fund Selection Agency
The institution of the Swedish Fund Selection Agency is the result of the Swedish riksdag decision of 31 May 2022 to reform the premium pension. The purpose of the reform is to bar untrustworthy actors, to make the premium pension system safer, and to make it yield better returns at a lower cost to premium pension savers.
Appointed chairman of the Swedish Fund Selection Agency: Mats Sjöstrand, formerly Director-General of the Swedish Tax Agency.
Appointed deputy chair: Maria Rydbeck, Deputy Director-General of the National Insurance Agency.
Also appointed, as members: Åsa Edman, Chief Legal Officer at Adda AB, Hans Lindblad, formerly Director-General of the National Debt Office, Katarina Staaf, President of the Seventh AP Fund, Mikael Westberg, Legal Counsel at the National Insurance Agency and Anna Nilsdotter, Secretary-General of WaterAid.
All of the appointments apply as of 20 June 2022 to and including 31 May 2025.
